Welcome, My Friends.

Following on with the theme of financial freedom and our self-belief.
Self belief is part of the foundation of achieving financial freedom, and the more financially free you become the more it can reinforce your self-belief.

Believing in yourself, gives you the confidence to make well informed financial decisions, you have confidence in yourself to make calculated risks, trusting your judgment.
Building this confidence begins with the tiny little decisions you make in regard to sticking with your budget, or fun financial plan.
As you follow your plan for getting out of debt, creating an emergency fund AND still having fun experiences, you begin to build your belief in your abilities.
You begin to think of yourself as a person who can manage the money they have.
You begin to think of ways you can create more money. So you can see the results you want appear faster.
You learn how to set clear financial goals, and move from the belief that money is something that you don’t understand or can’t keep to the belief that money is everywhere, that you can handle the money you have while making more, and that money is your friend, and keeping it is easy.
You begin to see yourself prospering, as you follow your plan to eliminate debt, to manage out of control emotional spending, while still having fun, you gain self-belief that this life is possible for you. This then motivates you to continue to move towards your financial freedom for your future.

Self-belief keeps you moving forward when life happens.
Remember it takes a while for your energy to build momentum, if you have come from a broke, or poverty mindset, it will take time and effort to shift these unconscious beliefs and their accompanying behaviours.
As you show yourself that you have what it takes to stay focused and motivated to achieve your goals even when the things around you seem to be showing something else.
Your resilience will pay huge dividends, your self-esteem rises, the image of yourself shifts and you learn the skills to manage the money you have.
You become willing to educate yourself on how money works, the best ways to make what you have work for you, and to begin to invest in yourself and your financial future, using proven strategies to create and build your wealth.

You learn to recognize and challenge beliefs that are holding you back. You have the courage to face these unhelpful beliefs and patterns.
Some of these beliefs could be. You feel you are not worthy to earn a livable wage, or maybe you run the story that you are no good with numbers, or maybe your story is that you will always be broke because that’s where your family history lies.
There are so many versions of limiting beliefs, poverty, scarcity and lack. Each version needs to be examined. Often it is difficult to see what your belief is until you are exposed to someone who doesn’t have that belief.
Cultivating belief that you can overcome mismanaging money habits, allows you to embrace the challenges that handling money brings, (For that matter, life brings challenges, opportunities for us to show ourselves just who we are.) You will have the confidence to learn and adapt from your failures, or missteps without taking them on personally, and to adapt to new financial opportunities that you will begin to see show up for you.

As you gain confidence in your self and begin to see your abilities to handle your finances grow, your stress levels around money reduce, your anxiety about not having enough will subside, your mindset shifts to one of abundance, to wealth creating, to being responsible for your own economic well-being and you will find you have more energy to focus on your passions and your interests.

When you cultivate self-belief, you will be more empowered to make intentional financial decisions.
You will be more able to take control of your financial journey, following budgets (fun financial plans), following income and expenditure spreadsheets, being knowledgeable around all the details of money management which will ultimately have you achieving financial freedom.

Navigating your way around tracking your income and your expenditures, giving you greater knowledge and understanding where your money is going, which empowers you to make conscious decisions where you want it to go.
Learning to set aside a portion of your income every week, helps to break the spend-it-all mindset. And creates a buffer for unexpected emergencies, as you gain confidence in saving your money, you build a new belief that you don’t need to spend all you get. Which enables you to set yourself up for a future that you can do, have, and be what you desire.
Once you have learned to save, you can begin to learn about investing, making your money work for you. Begin in a way that minimizes your losses until you gain confidence in yourself and the market you are investing in.
Once you have an understanding of how to use credit to your favour, you can avoid the debt traps, and make the financial system work for you.
Know your credit score, this enables you to create and maintain a good credit history which will give you better access to loan terms. Using the system in your favour. Breaking the cycle of unknown negative financial decisions.
As your financial situation improves you get to make better decisions around your health, your lifestyle, your leisure and the type of work you want to do.
Your financial literacy, impacts the decisions you make. The more decisions you make that align with your long term goals and authentic desires, the more peace and harmony you feel within yourself.
This is a continuous process, by beginning with small steps you will be on your way to financial freedom. A 1 degree shift in mindset and action will produce a huge shift over time. Little actions add up to big results.
Saving just ten dollars a week, will give you five hundred and twenty dollars a year, do this for ten years and without any added interest you’ll have five thousand, two hundred dollars. Make this an autopayment like one of your bills and you’re on your way to being a saver, and investor. Easy.

Until next time: Build your self-belief, start by noting your income, and monitoring your outgoings. List all the places your money goes.
