Mental Images and Words create Emotions.

Imagination is more important than knowledge.

Imagination is the language of the soul.

Pay attention to your imagination and you will discover all you need to be fulfilled.

Albert Einstein

Hello, My Friends

It’s officially winter, the weather says so.
It’s the time of being indoors playing games, doing jigsaw puzzles, watching chic flicks, (much to hubby’s annoyance) and cleaning out the last of the things I couldn’t decide on the last time I had a clean out.
This winter I have been sorting and filing all the notes and journal entries I have written over the last, well almost forever.
I am finding a few gems, things I have forgotten that I’ve learned.

Like this quote.

Imagination and affirmation mixed with physical sensation is powerful. Create feeling states on purpose.

I love this. When I read, say or listen to my affirmation, I get to lace it with a powerful physical sensation.
The physical sensation brings home the realness of the affirmation. Even when I don’t have what I’m aiming for yet.
The affirmation is shifting my mindset, one degree at a time.
So long as the affirmation is believable by my brain’s Liar, Liar meter, I can grow my belief.
It’s a bit like climbing a ladder, when we can’t quite reach the next rung. As we grow a little it becomes easier to reach.
With every rung on the ladder we grow our belief in ourselves and our ability.
Sometimes to move up to the next rung on the ladder, we have to learn a new skill, improve on a habit, develop a new thought pattern.

Did you know your subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between what is imagined and what is real?
That is why scary movies work so well at being, well, scary. The music tells us something scary is about to happen, we know it and we are expecting it, and yet we still jump when it happens.

When we mix our imagination, which is vivid mental imagery, sometime in colour, sometimes in sound, sometimes as a sense. When we mix these with the words we speak.
We create a dynamic vision for our brain to process. The brain loves a challenge.
Often we use imagination against ourselves, we see the worst case scenario, and mix that with words, such as this isn’t going to work.
Then we pat ourselves on the back when it falls over, or doesn’t happen the way we want it to, saying see, “I knew it wouldn’t work.” You kinda prophesied it into being.

Use the mix of mental imagery and the words you speak and hear to build an image your brain can get behind.
It is our job to figure out the what of what we want. This is looking at pictures, going to places that excite and inspire you, ‘seeing’ yourself in places you’d love to be in.
The what is anything, you get to want what you want. You also get to decide what that want will look and feel like.
The only condition on this is, you must like your reason for wanting it. No apologies, No explaining, No second-guessing. You want it because you like it and want it. Full Stop.

Our next job is to look at why we want what we want.
Why is another word for your motivation. If your why is deep enough and strong enough, you will be able to motivate yourself even when times are hard, and you don’t feel like it.
One way to find your why is to ask yourself the simple question, “Why do I want to be, have, or do this thing?”
Write your answer down. Then ask yourself, “Why do I want to be, have or do this thing?” Write your answer down. Do this seven times for each answer you came up with on your first answering of why.
If you are honest with yourself, you will find your true motivation for doing, having and being whatever it is you said you wanted.

The tricky part of this equation is not to get sucked into the how rabbit hole.
Imagination and affirmation are not concerned about the how, they are concerned about the what and the why. They are concerned with the feeling and emotions of having what you want.
Your brain and your subconscious mind will collude to bring about the next steps you need to take for your want to move from your imagination into your reality.
Often this happens with so much ease, it’s like a miracle occurred, or it’s as if someone waved a magic wand and all the parts fell into place.

Most of us get derailed in the how. How will this work out? How will I get the money? How will it look to those on the outside looking in?
We get stuck in the detail.
If we can keep our focus on what we want, and why we want it, then move in the direction of that, we often find it finds us.
It is really hard to direct a stationary object, but an object that is moving has a bit of momentum and can be directed.
It’s like that with what we want. We must we heading in the direction of the vision.
Nothing happens if you don’t do anything.
There are three parts to achieving anything.
Thoughts. (ideas) Feelings (Emotions) and Action (Doing)
Without any one of these three the vision will fall over.

This week’s challenge is to mix imagination, affirmation and physical sensation together with something you want.
Do an I want download, Do a why do I want it Q&A. Then begin to move toward what you want with your emotions first. Feel it as if you already have it.
Now, I have, am, do … How do I feel?

Until next time,
Have a fabulous week my friends.
