Living life on your terms, and being your authentic self.
Hello, My Friends
Welcome to Episode 40
Intention is a game changer.
Often, we live our lives without having an intention of what we want to see happen. We will run through our lives, being at the mercy of anything and everything that happens around us.
If our boss wants us to do something we jump to it, without questioning if it is actually part of our work format.
Often, we will be at the beck and call of other people and what they need and where they are going how they are doing things. Rather than actually having an intention for where our life needs to be, and how we want it to be running.
Often what happens is that our intention gets sidelined. When we’re not important enough to ourselves, to make our intention fully aware to ourselves, we tend to allow others to decide for us, we tend to outsource our emotions, we outsource the things that make us who we are.
Today I’m wanting to suggest that we have a look at intention, the intention we give to the emotion in our lives.
The intention that we give to the actions that we fulfil in our lives.
Often, we are on autopilot, and we don’t even think about what we are doing, we just do it. We’ve gotten into a routine that we get up every morning and do the things we normally do. When we have a conversation with our partner or spouse it is in a certain tone of voice, in a certain way. We’ve gotten into the habit of that. And we don’t even look at why. Intention to me is looking at the reason why I want what I want, How I want what I want to look and be and feel. Putting out to the universe this is the emotion I want to gain from this.
Remember everything we do, we do for the emotion or feeling we think we gain from doing this.
So why not put your intention out there. I’m intending to feel loved when I converse with my husband. That is an intention I can bring about by the way I speak to him.
Often people will reflect back to us what we put out.
When you answer the phone, do you pause for a second, before you speak. Ask yourself, what is the intention you want to gain from this phone call? What is the intention I want to give to the person on the other end of this phone call.
When you are working with your customers or clients do you have an intention of what you want to give to them, and what you want to receive from them.
Life is about give and receiving, receiving, and giving.
Intention is about receiving and giving and giving and receiving.
Without having an intention in mind, often we don’t know what we are after, and we get whatever happens to coming our way.
If you have an intention to earn a certain amount in a year, you then have the ability to put into place plans to make that so.
If you don’t have an intention, you don’t know what you’re aiming for, you don’t know where you’re going, you don’t know where you are at.
Having an intention is a game changer.
It gives you focus; it teaches you to be more clear about what you want, you begin to look at the things you do in your day and decide if they are actually worth your energy, your time, your emotion.
If the results you are gaining from these things are actually worth what you are putting into them. Give and take.
Intention is really important.
Being intentional on how you get dressed in the morning, being intentional, with what you put into your body, being intentional with the exercise you do, being intentional with the motivation with each and every one of these things.
The why we do something is as important as the what we are doing.
Your intention is important.
It is the attitude behind the reason you are doing your actions.
Intention is a game changer.
I want you to think about the intention that you live your life with.
What is it you intent to achieve every day?
What is the emotion you intend to feel today?
What is the overall feeling, overall thing you want to achieve in your lifetime?
What is the intention? What is the feeling that you want to give to other people? What is the feeling you want to have for yourself?
What are the expectations that you want to have within your life?
Living your life on purpose, with intention, can bring each of these things about.
Have a fabulous day my friends. Until next time…
