Your body is the sensor that lets you know what is going on within the parts of your body that are not so easy to see.

What we see with our eyes, and feel with our senses are not the only aspects of our body. 

Today we will begin to discuss our mind.

Your mind is like the guiding radar that sets your trajectory for how you live your life.

The thoughts you think determine what you see. 

The mind has two parts to it. 

The conscious mind, this is where we think and reason. We learn and understand.

The subconscious mind is where we feel and believe. We have an inner sense and knowing.

The conscious mind can be trained through thoughts and doctrines. This is where the education sits in our lives. 

The subconscious mind is based in intuition, it gathers information from energy vibrations.  The subconscious mind tends to be the guide to how we live our lives. This is where the spirit of our being were to reside if we were to try to capture it. 

The conscious mind is an intricate piece of our anatomy. It processes all the information from all our senses, the external senses and the internal senses.

The brain then decides what is important for us to know, based on what we have already learned and the questions we are asking of it.

To live in happiness, our brain needs to be directed.  You’ve heard the saying, “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.” I’d like to propose that an idle mind will create drama to keep it occupied. 

Have you ever wondered why we love reality TV? It’s drama. 

That’s why social media is so compelling to us, it gives our brain images to see and think about. 

Your brain sees in images and words.

This is why story telling, listening to the spoken word and reading written words, can have a huge impact on our lives.  Mix this with emotion and you have a potent mixture for change. 

Your brain is very impressive and impressionable.

Today’s question is… What types of stories are you attracted to? What do you like about them? 

Until tomorrow watch what you watch on TV, look at what stops you scrolling on social media, why do you like these things?
