Hello, My Friends
The other morning I woke up singing this little ditty,
I am wealthy, I am worthy, I am wise, I am wealthy, I am worthy, I am wise.
Yes, that is who I am, Yes, that is who I am,
I am wealthy, I am worthy, I am wise.
I am healthy, I am happy, I am whole, I am healthy, I am happy, I am whole.
Yes, that is who I am, Yes, that is who I am,
I am healthy, I am happy, I am whole.

Every year I have a word of the year I use as a filter to grow my life.
And over the last few years, I would change my I am statement every month to go with the topic I was studying or teaching.
However this year, I decided that I would have three main affirmations that I would repeat everyday. These main affirmations were in line with the three top goals for my year.
And each affirmation started with I am wealthy, I am worthy, I am wise. I am healthy, I am happy, and I am whole.
Let me explain what an affirmation is, an affirmation is where you affirm something to yourself, or to someone else.
An affirmation can be ‘positive’ in that it makes you feel better, or it can be ‘negative’ in that it makes you feel worse.
An affirmation is often words, although it can be an action, a body language shift, an expression on your face, or folded arms over your chest. Each of these are giving a message. Which will be interpreted by someone else, or yourself.
Everyone of us talks to ourselves.
I know it is not popular to admit that we speak to ourselves, and most of us do this silently in our heads.
However, every now and then we’ll be heard saying, “I’m so stupid” Or “What a dumb ass” Or ” I knew that would happen” Or “Yes, I did it, I knew I could.”
Today I want to talk about how you talk to yourself.
You are your most important asset.
Do you speak kindly to yourself? Or do you beat yourself up, reminding you of all your not so beautiful traits.
An affirmation used positively is a powerful tool to create. This door swings both ways, if you must speak to yourself about yourself, choose to say nice things.
The two most powerful words we can say to ourselves are, I AM …
Any statement that comes after those two little words are programming your brain, you are telling your brain what to believe about you.
You can tell your brain, “I am smart, I can figure this out.” Or you can tell your brain, “I am so stupid, I can’t figure this out.”
Your brain doesn’t care, it accepts what you say and then works with the information you give it.
Now, if you should decide to create the life you want to live, one thought at a time, and you pick a thought like I am worthy, your brain might be like mine used to be.
My brain would go into overdrive to show me all the ways I wasn’t worthy. It was arguing with me at every step.
This is normal, your brain has a whole lot of evidence to prove it’s self true.
Our job is to create new evidence to prove to our brain our new belief.
Take for example, I am worthy.
I had to begin to make decisions that backed up the belief that I was worthy. I began to say things like, the Universe has my back, good things are starting to happen for me.
I began to notice when things went right, and they went right way more often than I initially saw.
I began to make better decisions around the clothes I wore, the food I ate, how I let people speak to me.
I began to shift towards thinking I was worthy.
I began to ask questions like, ‘What would a worthy woman do in this situation?” Then I’d do it.
I began to create evidence that I was indeed worthy.
And now my brain doesn’t argue with me, it’s like yes, a worthy woman behaves like this, she thinks of opportunity, she acts on intuition, she has the ability to trust herself.
Affirmation changes everything one deliberate thought at a time.
What is your go to I AM statement? Listen in on the conversations you have with yourself.
Does it make you feel better or worse?
Remember everything you do, you do because you believe it will give you a feeling you want.
Find the feeling, create an I AM statement to back up that statement and work through all the mental drama your brain throws up and life will never be the same for you again.

Until next time, you can borrow my affirmation.
I am wealthy, I am worthy, I am wise.
I am healthy, I am happy, I am whole.
