Your vision responds to your willingness to meet yourself honestly, lovingly, and in alignment.
Welcome to Authentic Living Coaching
I’m Linda Codlin, Transformational Life Coach.
Welcome, My Friends.
Week Four – December Renewal Series: Visioning the Future- Design the Year You Want to Live
If Weeks 1–3 helped you clear your mind, open your heart, and step into self-leadership, Week 4 invites you to look ahead with intention.
Inspiration:
“When you give yourself permission to imagine a life that feels true, you choose to see yourself as the creator, not the bystander.”
The end of the year is a gentle reminder: life is cyclical, and you get to participate consciously in shaping what comes next.
Visioning is not about perfection, nor about predicting what will happen or forcing outcomes into existence.
It is about aligning your energy, stepping into your power as conscious creator, by aligning your choices, and your being so that the life you want naturally begins to manifest.
When you design the year you want to live, you move from reacting to circumstances into responding with intention, clarity, and self-trust.
Stepping into your power means recognising that you are not at the mercy of time, habits, or old patterns.
You hold the authority to choose what matters, what you say yes to, and what you gently release.
Visioning is an act of self-leadership—it asks you to listen inwardly, honour your values, and allow your desires to inform your direction rather than dismissing them as unrealistic or indulgent.
This process is not about perfection or pressure.
It is about alignment
When your vision reflects who you truly are and how you want to feel, your actions naturally follow with greater ease and confidence.
Designing your year becomes a partnership between your heart, your inner wisdom, and your willingness to take meaningful steps forward.
As you vision the future, you reclaim authorship of your life. You move from drifting to deliberately choosing—creating a year that supports your wellbeing, growth, and authentic expression.
Why Vision Matters
What if nothing needs fixing, pushing, or proving right now?
What if the most powerful action you can take is to arrive fully in yourself first?
Being before doing invites you to anchor into who you are — your values, energy, truth, and inner authority — before taking the next step.
When you move from being, your actions become aligned rather than effortful, intentional rather than reactive.
Doing from urgency creates exhaustion.
Doing from being creates clarity, ease, and sustainable momentum.
You are not behind.
You are becoming.
Pause. Breathe. Feel who you are becoming — and let your next action arise from that place.
Who you are being shapes what you see and what you attract.
Before you act on your vision:
Feel it in your body
Sense it in your emotions
Step into the energy of having already created it
When being and seeing align, the world responds naturally.

Daily Doing: Three Visioning Practices for This Week
- Future Self Visualization
Close your eyes and picture yourself at the end of next year:
Who are you?
How do you feel each day?
What habits, actions, and choices define your life?
Step into this future self and feel the energy as if it already exists.
Let it inspire your present. - One Word or Theme for The New Year
Pick a single word or phrase that encapsulates the energy you want for the year:
Growth
Clarity
Joy
Abundance
Courage
Use this word as a touchstone throughout your days. When making decisions, ask:
“Does this honour my word?” - Create a Vision Ritual
Journal or draw your intentions
Make a simple vision board or digital collage
Set a small daily ritual that connects you with this vision—
a 2-minute morning breath, a nightly reflection, or a mindful pause
These practices turn abstract hopes into tangible energy.
Bonus Ideas:
Visioning Ideas
Review what you accomplished this year with gratitude
Release what no longer serves you (resistances, habits, beliefs)
Identify 1–3 aligned actions to start the year in flow
Notice where your energy naturally wants to go
Celebrate small wins as evidence of your future unfolding
Growth Challenge:
Visioning & Alignment
Design the Year You Want to Live
This week is not about fixing, forcing, or hustling your future into existence.
It’s about listening, feeling, and aligning — letting your inner wisdom lead the way.
Your invitation for the week:
Choose one gentle visioning practice each day that helps you feel into the year ahead rather than plan it from the mind.
Daily Aligned Actions (choose one per day):
Sit quietly and ask: “If my life felt deeply aligned next year, how would my days feel in my body?”
Write a single paragraph beginning with: “This time next year, I am living a life that feels…”
Create a feeling-based vision list (not goals): peace, freedom, vitality, creativity, devotion, joy.
Choose one area of life (home, money, body, relationships, work) and ask:
“What wants to grow here next — gently and naturally?”
Light a candle and imagine your future self sitting beside you.
Ask: “What do you want me to know right now?”
Take one small aligned action today that your future self would thank you for.
Release one expectation, obligation, or “should” that no longer belongs in the year ahead.
Key Reminder for the Week
You are not here to figure out your future —you are here to tune into it.
Alignment comes from being before doing, from clarity that rises quietly, from trust that grows when you listen inward.
Let this be a week of soft visioning, where your future meets you with ease.
Guided Visualization: Visioning Your Future Self
(6–8 minutes, gentle, empowering)
Before we rush toward goals, plans, or intentions, this week’s guided visualization invites you to pause and listen forward.
Visioning is not about forcing clarity or demanding certainty.
It is about allowing a future version of you to gently make contact — the version who is already living with more ease, truth, alignment, and joy.
Alignment happens when who you are being today begins to match what you are quietly calling in.
This guided visualization is an invitation to soften the mind, settle into the body, and open the heart to possibility. You are not here to “figure it out,” but to feel your way toward what fits. To sense what resonates. To notice what energizes, steadies, and expands you.
As you journey inward, you’ll be guided to meet your future self not as a distant ideal, but as a living presence offering wisdom, reassurance, and direction. Let this be a remembering rather than a striving — a gentle alignment between where you are now and where you are ready to grow.
There is nothing to achieve here.
Simply arrive, receive, and allow the vision that is already forming within you to come into focus.
When you’re ready, settle in, take a slow breath, and begin.
This Week’s Rhyming Ditty:
To gently anchor your future in your body, your breath, and your choice.
Allowing the gentle conversation that has already begun to develop without pressure.
I do not chase what longs to grow,
I tend the seeds I already know.
With trust, with grace, I walk my way,
And meet my becoming, day by day.
I breathe the year I long to be,
Aligned with truth that lives in me.
Each choice I make, each step I give,
Becomes the life I choose to live.
With heart as guide and soul in sight,
I shape my days in calm, clear light.
Not rushed, not forced, but deeply true—
I live the year my spirit knew.
A ceremonial Visioning Ritual
Creating the Year You Want to Live
Set aside a quiet moment. Light a candle if you wish—one that symbolizes clarity, hope, or devotion to yourself. Let this be a pause outside of time. You are not planning from pressure; you are listening from truth.
Take a slow breath in…
And an even slower breath out.
Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.
Feel yourself arrive.
This ceremony is not about forcing outcomes.
It is about remembering who you are becoming.
Invocation
I release the year that has been,
Honoring all it taught me.
I call in the year that longs to meet me,
Aligned, intentional, and true.
Allow images, feelings, or words to rise—not from your mind, but from your body.
Ask gently:
How do I want to feel as I move through my days?
What pace supports my nervous system and my joy?
Who am I when I live in alignment with my values?
Do not rush.
Let your future self step closer.
Alignment Declaration
Speak these words aloud or softly within:
I choose a year that fits my soul.
I design from presence, not pressure.
I allow my becoming to be graceful.
I trust what unfolds when I walk in alignment.
Notice what shifts inside you as these words land.
Anchoring the Vision
Imagine placing this vision into the year ahead like a seed in fertile soil.
You do not pull on it to grow.
You tend it—with attention, compassion, and trust.
Touch the candle flame with your eyes.
Let it symbolize your commitment to living intentionally—not perfectly, but honestly.
Completion Blessing
May this year meet me where I am.
May I meet it with courage and care.
May my choices honor my truth,
And may my life reflect what matters most.
Take one final breath.
When you’re ready, gently return—bringing your vision with you.
This Week’s Affirmations
Visioning & Alignment — Designing the Year You Want to Live
These affirmations have been chosen to that gently reassure your nervous system while opening your belief, trust, and possibility.
- The life I am visioning is already responding to me.
As I align my inner world, the outer world gently rearranges to meet me. - I allow myself to imagine freely, knowing my desires are welcome here.
My visions are not too much — they are invitations. - As I align with who I am becoming, my path reveals itself naturally.
I do not need to force clarity; it unfolds as I stay present. - What I long for is available to me when I live in alignment with my truth.
I trust the timing, the shaping, and the becoming. - I am safe to choose the life that feels true to my soul.
Each aligned choice designs the year I am meant to live.
Read your chosen affirmation slowly.
Notice where it lands in your body.
Let that feeling guide one small, aligned action today
To round off Week Four of our December Renewal Series—Visioning & Alignment — Designing the Year You Want to Live.
I have a set of questions by categories that are designed to help you gently invite honesty without pressure, clarity without force, and alignment without overwhelm.
Reflection Questions
These questions are not meant to be rushed or “figured out.”
Let them meet you softly. Choose one or two at a time. Breathe. Feel your body as you respond. Alignment happens through presence, not urgency.
Vision & Desire
When I imagine the year ahead, what feeling do I most long to experience regularly?
If I trusted that my desires were valid and available, what would I allow myself to want?
What vision keeps quietly returning, even when I try to be practical or sensible?
Alignment & Being
Who do I need to be more fully in order to live the year I am envisioning?
Where am I already in alignment with my future self — even in small, ordinary ways?
What feels like a natural next step, rather than a forced one?
Beliefs Behind the Scenes
What beliefs do I hold about what is “realistic” or “allowed” for me?
Where might I still be waiting for permission, certainty, or proof before I move?
What part of me fears disappointment if I truly commit to my vision?
Safety & Trust
What would it look like to move toward my future with gentleness instead of pressure?
How can I create safety in my body while holding a bigger vision?
What helps me remember that alignment is a relationship, not a destination?
Integration
If I trusted life to meet me halfway, how would I show up differently this year?
What would it mean to let my vision unfold through rhythm, rest, and responsiveness?
What is one small way I can honour my future self today?
Remember: There is nothing to force, nothing to chase.
Your vision responds to your willingness to meet yourself honestly, lovingly, and in alignment.
As we close Week Four you have been given an invitation to slow down and listen forward.
To step out of urgency and into authorship.
To remember that your future is not something you chase or fix, but something you meet through presence, alignment, and trust.
Designing the year you want to live is not about having it all figured out.
It is about choosing to participate consciously.
To honour your desires.
To trust your timing.
And to take small, aligned steps that reflect what matters most to you.
Your vision does not demand perfection.
It responds to honesty, presence, and care.
Until Next time: Pause and ask: “What would alignment look like right now — in my body, my breath, my choice?”
Let your answer be simple.
Let it be kind.
Let it guide one gentle action, or one conscious release.”
Allow your life to meet you where truth and alignment begin.
