Welcome to Authentic Living with Linda
I’m Linda Codlin
Welcome, My Friends.
This week has seen us enjoying putting jigsaw puzzles together. We have a table set up in the lounge always ready to be worked on.
I’m a bit of a super focusing kind of person, I set myself a goal to complete one area of the puzzle and then focus until it’s done.
Sometimes this has meant some early mornings to bed.
Which is not conducive to a day of productivity at the computer. Tiredness slows everything down. AND this is self-inflicted tiredness.
Continuing on with our monthly theme of becoming organized.
I thought we could investigate setting up a personalized morning routine, to increase your productivity.
A morning routine is a means of creating a structure for your day.
Structure means having a system in place to create easy and flow.
Discipline helps you show up for yourself and your goals even when it’s not easy or fun.

Let’s begin by gathering some details and information.
What is your Current Wake-up Time?
What time do you currently wake up?
How do you feel when you wake up? Do do leap out of bed, or do you drag your feet out of bed?
Is your wake up time pretty consistent or does it fluctuate?
What are your usual morning activities?
What do you currently do after waking up?
Do you have any morning rituals, like a morning coffee, exercising, or checking your phone?
Do you have any particular household tasks you want to get done in the morning, or that you do regularly in the morning?
What is your usual morning beauty routine?

What are your Energy Levels in the morning?
How do you usually feel in the morning?
Do you feel energetic or sluggish, or are you somewhere in between?
Do you wake up feeling tired, and thinking aagh it’s morning, and dragging yourself forward?
Do you wake up feeling full of vim and vigour, where you’re thinking ‘I’m so happy to get up’, you have a plan and want to get going?
What are your energizing activities?
What specific activities make you feel energized in the morning?
Things like stretching, meditating, journaling, listening to music.
Do you like have a bath in the morning?
Do you take your dogs out for a walk or run in the morning?
What are your specific productivity goals?
What are you looking to improve or reduce?
Are you looking to focus better or manage the tasks you need to accomplish in the time frame you have available?
Are you looking to reduce the feelings of being out of control or to reduce the stress your body is holding onto?
What are your work or commitments start time?
What time do you need to start work or be in a certain place at a certain time?
Does your start time vary depending on your career or vocation?
How much time do you want to dedicate to your morning routine?
Do you have a short or long commute time?

What are your sleep patterns?
Do you sleep well?
Do you wake up feeling rested?
Would you say you prefer mornings or evenings for getting things done?
What is your sleep quality? Do you have broken sleep due to your current situation?
Food and Nutrition. What is your preferred eating pattern in the morning?
Do you eat breakfast? If you do what is your favourite food?
What do you enjoy to eat or drink in the morning to set you up for success?
How important is food and nutrition to you?
What household duties do you do in the morning?
Do you hang laundry on the outside line?
Do you empty/fill the dishwasher?
Do you make your bed in the morning?
What household duties would you like to include in your morning routine?
Is there anything else you would like to incorporate into your morning routine?
Do you have personal interests that you would like to add to your morning routine? Things like practicing a musical instrument.
What would make your morning feel refreshing if you were to do daily? Things like sitting on the deck with your coffee and journal.
Consider things like arts and crafts, hobbies and interests you would like to pursue.
If you’ve been diligent enough to answer these questions, you will have an idea of what you require to create a morning routine that will work for you.
I can help you to craft a morning routine that aligns with your lifestyle and goals. I can also help support you with accountability, encouraging you to follow through so you feel good about yourself and your achievements while building confidence in yourself and your abilities.
